The new tool passes any attached document to your preferred agent, including Claude Code or the Carta CRM in-app agent, so you can query documents the same way you query data.
How it works
PE and VC firms often maintain a record of contacts ready to recommend into their invested portfolio companies. Now you can ask the agent directly, "Who has experience implementing Oracle NetSuite?", and it reviews every CV attached to your contacts, returning the right candidate with a citation back to the source document. The same functionality is available for deal intelligence, so you can get answers on revenue concentration, customer churn, geographic exposure, and other details buried in documents surfaced in seconds.
