What it is
From your dashboard, select the Update valuation button and drop in PDFs or images of your statements. Carta reads them, matches each figure to the right fund and position, updates the valuation, and notifies you when it’s done.
You can also book conversions and realizations alongside your valuations. Enter each once at the asset level and Carta splits it across the underlying lots. Attach supporting documents to each one as needed.
Why it matters
You can update valuations the day a statement arrives and book conversions and realizations as they happen, so your financials reflect the latest valuations.
How it works
Carta updates a valuation when a statement shows an ending capital balance or price per share and clearly matches a portfolio company.
