What it is
You can now monitor your management company’s financials and budget vs. actuals with an interactive, customizable microapp.
It maps the line items from your budgeting workbook to your transactions in Carta across your chart of accounts (COA), sub-accounts, reporting tags, vendors, and more. Then it generates a firm-level dashboard including P&L, expense variances, projected fee schedules, and top vendor spend.
Why it matters
See where your firm stands against budget at any point in the quarter, with visual summaries and detailed breakouts that you can trace back to the source journals. In Claude Code, customize the app to fit your needs and preferences: add a new column like variance percentage, reposition charts on the dashboard, or set default filters.
How it works
The ManCo Budgeting microapp is available through the Carta Investors Plugin to clients with a management company on Carta. Once you’ve installed the plugin, tell Claude to “build my ManCo budgeting microapp.” You can upload your own budgeting workbook or generate a budget from scratch using our tools in Claude for Excel.
