Carta's new homepage is the operational command center for your investments, funds, legal entities, and limited partners. It's a single place to get a live performance view into your portfolio, understand the interconnectedness and interdependencies across your firm's footprint, and act on fund administration workflows. Fund operators can easily see what needs action across their suite of funds and SPVs, approve management fees, review the quarter's SOI and financials, track capital activity, and more. On the left are all of your investments.
You can search for an investment, like Polaris Robotics, to instantly see cost versus value, IRR, and multiples, or for additional details such as the investment's tear sheet or valuation history. At the center, you can view all of your funds and their core metrics. Focusing on Fund one shows capital deployed across eight investments, and how value allocates to thirty one LPs and the GP. Click the GP to view accrued carry by member, or look at LPs to track capital called versus unfunded commitments, and deep dive into their real time net asset value.
The real power is mapping your firm's connective tissue. Focus on an investor like Armstrong Capital Partners to see their participation across multiple vehicles, drilling down into underlying assets, and eliminating hours of manual cross referencing. The toggles on the left let you focus on specific workflows across your firm, like carry waterfalls, closings, capital activity, valuation events, and more. Switching to capital activity shows any active capital calls, including real time funding progress for each LP, to immediately identify outstanding commitments.
We can also trace the impact of a valuation event from end to end. A five point six million dollars valuation update to Bayou and Ember triggers the fund waterfall, accounting for return of capital, preferred return hurdles, and the GP catch up so that we can see exactly how a single portfolio update affects carry accrued to the GP entity and the individual GP members.
