This is Deal CRM, part of the CRM module in Carta's ERP for private capital. The deal team's job is to find companies and make investments. But when context is spread across email, LinkedIn, and spreadsheets, you can't move at the speed a competitive deal demands. With Deal CRM, nothing slows you down when a deal is live.
Deal CRM captures deals as they come in, tracks every interaction your firm has with a company or contact, keeps your pipeline current, and gives your team instant access to everything on a deal before a call. Here's how. When a teaser arrives, you forward it to the Email Agent. It reads the email, creates the company record in the CRM, pulls the deal details - sector, geography, stage, revenue where it's available - and replies with a structured summary.
It works across teasers, cold intros, and advisor follow-ups. From there, the Interactions tab logs every touchpoint automatically. Calendar meetings, email threads, and notes your team adds manually all appear in a single chronological feed, showing the date, the team member involved, and the interaction type - visible to the right people on your team, based on the access your firm sets. From the same record, the People module lets you find individuals in the org: each contact's work experience and career history, their relationship to the company and your team, and your firm's most recent interaction with them.
A junior associate can see that a senior partner met the founder two years ago and last emailed them six months back. On each company record, AI research fields give you Crunchbase-style enrichment: last funding round, ownership, valuation, and lead investors, without a third party data agreement. You configure the prompt once; the field researches itself and stays current as the record changes. Across all your deals, the pipeline is customizable to how your team works.
Each deal shows stage, last activity date, assigned coverage, and adviser, updated in real time as your team logs interactions. From within the pipeline, you can query across your deals using the in-app AI agent: pull all tier one deals, filter by stage, or run deal flow analytics on volume, source attribution, and stage conversion. Before a call, use the in-app AI agent to pull the deal brief. It goes through the company record, attached pitch decks and diligence materials, your firm's interaction history, and open action items, and returns a structured summary in seconds.
Everyone on your team stays aligned on every deal, at every stage. Your deal flow is only as good as the context behind it. Enrichment tools give you data. CRMs give you history.
Only Carta's Connected ERP for private capital can give you both.
