What it is
Carta’s Cap Table Plugin now reads whichever valuation type your company actually uses, including 409A, EMI, CSOP, and share price, and returns it in its own currency.
Why it matters
Company admins outside the US granting equity using the UK’s EMI or CSOP schemes can ask Claude, “Is our EMI/CSOP valuation still valid?”, “What’s the current FMV for new option grants?”, or “When does our valuation expire?” and get an answer scoped to the valuation type they actually hold, instead of seeing no results because they don’t hold a 409A. Company admins get this without opening a separate valuations report or contacting their Carta team to confirm expiration dates.
How it works
The Cap Table Plugin previously read 409A valuations only, so non-US companies on EMI or CSOP appeared to have no valuation. It now reads whichever valuation type a company actually uses and returns results in the valuation’s original currency.
