We've compiled a list of tools and resources to help businesses and investors as they navigate this challenging COVID-19 crisis.

Whether you’re a team of two or a team of several hundred, this can be a challenging time for any business. To help, we’ve compiled this list of resources and are updating it regularly. If you have a suggestion of something to add, please reach out to us on Twitter

It’s important to use accurate information to inform your decision-making. In addition to the Center for Disease Control and your local city/state newsroom, the World Health Organization has regular situation reports. This list of resources compiled by a16z covers other experts and websites that can help you stay on top of the latest.

Through these stressful times, businesses have a lot to think about. Here are some lists and specific reads that we think are helpful:

Temporary free SaaS products

A number of SaaS companies have made some of their products free for the next three to six months in light of COVID-19:

  • Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Service Desk free for teams of up to 10; not time bound)

  • Box (Business free trial extended from 14 days to 90 days)

  • Carta (Free for companies with fewer than 25 stakeholders and less than $500K raised—available through law firms)

  • Cisco (Security products free for existing and new customers until July 1)

  • Cloudflare (Teams product available to small businesses for free through Sept 1)

  • Dialpad (Pro and Business licenses free for 2 months)

  • GSuite (Hangouts Enterprise features available to all customers free until July 1)

  • Microsoft Office 365 (E1 license including MS Teams free for 6 months)

  • Okta (SSO and MFA available to all new customers for free for up to 5 apps; not time bound)

  • Salesforce Quip (Free Starter license for new customers until Sept 30)

  • SAP Qualtrics (Remote Work Pulse free for all organizations; not time bound)

  • XGen (30 to 60-day free trials for retailers and e-commerce brands)

  • Zoho (Free for 3 months for small business customers)

  • SCORE: Get support from expert mentors who can help you identify funding sources, work on your application, and determine how to best use the funds

  • Small Business Administration: Learn how to apply for government loans backed by the SBA

  • Stimulus2020: Sign up for a no-fee, no-interest $1,000 stimulus


Here are some tools to take care of yourself and your community during this time. 

  • Audible is offering a variety of free audiobooks for kids at home, covering a variety of ages.

  • Calm, Headspace, and Modern Health have all offered free resources to support mindfulness. 

  • Coa, a startup focused on mental health, is offering free, therapist-led online discussion groups for parents working from home. 

  • PBS covers how to help others in the COVID-19 crisis.

  • Ro offers a free Coronavirus telehealth assessment.
