As companies scale and expand their workforces, manual tracking of promised employee equity awards across numerous platforms can quickly become cumbersome for company administrators.
We’re proud to launch Carta’s Draft Option API, which streamlines the draft and issuance process for option grants from your company’s HR or global equity compliance platform to Carta. When option grant details are included in an accepted new hire offer letter, or an existing employee is due to receive an equity refresh, the Draft Option API integration populates these details and relevant form documents into Carta’s option grant draft for an admin to more easily review and move to board approval and issuance.
This API program has kicked off with our first cohort of partners— Remote, Slice, and Deel—all leading HR and global equity compliance platforms for distributed companies.
To build on our momentum, we've launched Carta’s Draft Option API with our first partner, Remote Equity. This integration allows shared customers to draft option grants and generate legal documents for issuing equity directly from the Carta dashboard in Remote. Option grant drafts sync automatically between both platforms, giving users a complete view of their global compensation program in one place.
"Equity is such an important tool for attracting and retaining top talent, and it's only becoming more vital as the workforce becomes increasingly global," said Valentin Haarscher, General Manager, Remote Equity. "Carta’s industry-leading position in equity management, commitment to innovation, and robust API platform makes them the ideal collaborator for solutions like ours to provide legally compliant equity compensation while increasing the value of Carta's platform for our customers' entire global teams."
The integration with Remote is live for shared customers, and will be available in 2025 for Deel and Slice customers.
