Glossary

A quick guide to the AI terms used throughout the course, with definitions you can refer back to whenever you need them.

  • Agent

An AI that works through tasks by choosing actions and using tools, without needing human direction at every step.

  • Artifact

Something an AI builds for you next to the chat, like a dashboard or document. You can edit it, refresh it, and share it.

  • MCP

Short for Model Context Protocol. A standard way to connect an AI to other apps and data so it can look things up and use their Tools.

  • Microapp

A small app built to do one job, like running scenarios on live data. You make it by describing what you want to an AI.

  • Plugin

An add-on you install in one step. It gives an AI the Skills and connections it needs for a specific kind of work.

  • Prompt

What you type to tell an AI what you want, like a question or a request. The more context you give, the better the answer.

  • Skill

A set of written instructions, like a recipe, that teaches an AI to do a task the same way every time, so you don’t have to re-explain it.

  • Tool

Something an AI can use to do more than write text, like searching the web, running code, or pulling in data from another system.
