Your portfolio valuations history and waterfall modeling results are now in Carta's Data Warehouse. Query, report, and analyze at scale.

With portfolio valuations and waterfall modeling history now available in the Data Warehouse, PE fund CFOs and portfolio teams can build investor-ready reports using the Carta Investors Plugin for Claude.

Query valuation history across your entire portfolio

Three new tables are available in the Data Warehouse:

Portfolio Valuations History surfaces one row per finalized valuation with company value, selected methodologies (GPC, DCF, Backsolve), last-twelve-month (LTM) and next-twelve-month (NTM) financials, and firm-level holdings value.

Waterfall Modeling History captures one row per saved waterfall with exit value and holdings value—an audit trail of every scenario your team has modeled.

Holdings Value History adds a per-fund breakdown, including MOIC, invested capital, and proceeds percentage.

Validate methodology alignment before reports go to LPs

Investment teams can now query across the full portfolio to compare how each portfolio company has been valued over time, surface methodology inconsistencies, and confirm that quarter-end valuations align with the firm's stated policy before they go to LPs.

CFOs gain a structured, searchable record to support audit requests and demonstrate consistency in their valuation approach, so LPs receive cleaner, more consistent reporting.

Query your valuation data in Snowflake or through the Investors Plugin

Data Warehouse access mirrors your existing Carta permissions: Users see valuation data only for portfolio companies where they hold at least one entity, so access controls apply end-to-end, not just in the product UI.

Query directly in Snowflake, or surface results through Carta's Investors Plugin for Claude, asking questions about portfolio performance in plain language and generating formatted LP reports on demand. Only finalized valuations are included. Full data dictionary at docs.carta.com.
