Query, compare, and export private market comp benchmarks directly in Claude.

What's new

Carta Total Compensation (CTC) gives companies real-time salary and equity benchmarks built from data across 50,000+ private market cap tables—now queryable directly in Claude via the Carta Cap Table Plugin. Use the Plugin to benchmark compensation—pulling market salary, equity, and total cash for any role, with geographic adjustment and CSV export—and rolematch by mapping a job description against the CTC taxonomy, to return job area, focus, level, and track.

Why it matters

Now Carta's comp data becomes a live input to your work, not a separate step before it. Pull benchmarks across a dozen roles, compare across geos and valuation bands, and combine Carta data with your own salary data or existing pay bands, all in natural language.

How it works

Ask Claude questions like:

  • "Compare salary benchmarks for a senior 1 engineer in SF vs. Austin vs. New York"

  • "What's the market rate for a head of finance at a 50-person vs. 200-person company?"

  • "What CTC role does this job description map to?"

Beyond querying, you can export Carta benchmarks, combine them with your own data to build custom paybands, and drop outputs directly into spreadsheet models.
