The ManCo skill in the Investors Plugin now pulls vendor-level detail for deeper spend analysis, and infers the likely vendor from the journal memo if it isn't linked in the transaction.

What it is

Fund managers analyzing management company spend can now pull vendor details directly into Claude via the Investors Plugin. This adds a new layer to your budget vs. actuals analysis in Claude for Excel, alongside existing tools for budget generation and scenario modeling.

Why it matters

When you need to understand what’s driving a spend category, vendor information can complete the picture. Getting that detail used to mean combing through journal entries. Now, Claude surfaces it directly, so you can see spend by vendor alongside your budget and isolate causes of spend variance.

How it works

The budgeting skill in Carta’s Investors Plugin pulls vendor details directly from Carta to augment your analysis. When transactions aren’t linked to a vendor, Claude reads the journal memo and infers the likely vendor.
