LinkedIn: San Francisco Does Not Even Make the Top 3 for Renewable Energy VC

San Francisco is the startup capital of the US - but is that true for renewable energy tech?

According to Carta data, SF doesn't even make the top 3.

Looking at total capital invested into renewable energy startups from Jan 1 2022 thru Feb 28, 2023, the leading counties were:

1. Middlesex MA (near Boston) 2. King WA (home to Seattle) 3. Denver CO

San Francisco comes in a respectable 4th - but in almost no other industry is SF this far down the list.

Looks like the renewable future is going to be more distributed than the SaaS past.
