If you're a founder raising $3M-$5M, your valuation is ~$21M.
Often we segment this data by stage like Seed, Series A, etc.
But here we've cut the data by cash raised instead, and a couple things pop out:
1. Valuations are pretty damn similar across regions. Sure, higher in the West (and higher still in the Bay) but this seems like a stable market across the country.
2. Deal counts (bottom row) differ far more widely than valuations.
3. There's always a range. There are no "perfect" numbers.
Now the interesting question - 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 valuations be this stable? I realize this is across many industries but I wonder if we need some more weird stuff in venture!
