LinkedIn: Startup Funding Came in Higher in Q2 2023 Here Is What to Know

Startup investment into US cap tables on Carta rose in Q2. Here's what you should know:

1. Q2 2023 came in about $3 billion higher than Q1. Hooray!

2. Q2 2023 still only saw about 22% of the investment we saw in Q4 2021. Not great.

3. Total rounds will end up around 1,300 (best guess) as some late additions to the dataset trickle in.

Would love to hear your thoughts on whether Q2 is the beginning of an upwards trend or if we'll be muddling through at this investment pace for the rest of the year.
