Data by metro area, includes $44.8 billion in priced round investment over the last 12 months on Carta. Ecosystems must have 25+ rounds to be included.

1. Bay Area still holds the lead - and it has actually grown its share over the last 12 months (39.8% share).
2. NYC and Boston are neck and neck for second place!
3. LA - down in many sectors, but first in Consumer.
4. Is San Diego out-growing the "only Biotech" label? Strong showing in SaaS and Consumer there.
5. Austin is a little a bit of everything!
