Carta is excited to announce that Amy Miller, CPA, Director of Public Policy, has been appointed to the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC). Congress established the ETAAC to provide a public forum to discuss electronic tax administration issues. As a member of the committee, Amy will have the opportunity to help shape tax policy.
“It’s an honor to join the other esteemed members of the tax professional community who are a part of ETAAC,” Amy says. “My experience at Carta leading initiatives to promote e-filing for small businesses has positioned me well for this role and I’m excited to contribute my learnings and recommendations on behalf of small businesses, founders, and investors.”
Specifically, Amy will analyze and provide recommendations for diverse e-filing matters, contribute to Congressional annual reports on the IRS's electronic tax administration progression, and assist the IRS in upholding the Electronic Tax Administration's objective to deliver quality e-file services.
“This prestigious selection is not just a testament to Amy’s dedication, expertise, and leadership in the tax professional community, but also reflects her remarkable contributions to public policy at large,” says Anthony Cimino, Carta’s head of policy. “This will be an opportunity to cultivate dialogue on important tax policy issues and I extend my congratulations to Amy and all other appointed members.”
